The MegaChlor requires no pool or swim spa modification. Simply attach the control panel near the pool, add 2 pounds of salt per 100 gallons of pool water, hang the electrode into the water, and plug it in.

The MegaChlor makes chlorine on a 3-hour cycle. Every 3 hours, it starts making chlorine, and based on the power level, it will run for a fixed amount of time and then switch to standby mode. At the next 3-hour mark, it will start again. For example, at power level 5, it will be on for 45 minutes, off for 2 hours and 15 minutes (3 hours minus 45 minutes), on for 45 minutes, etc.
