THE original Quick Change Cell Assembly had a problem where many users did not get the compression fittings tight enough to prevent moisture from getting into the connector and corrode the connection points. This was primarily a problem on submerged connectors. ANOTHER PROBLEM WAS THE SCREWS IN THE CONNECTOR WERE GETTING LOSTThanks to one of our customers, a way to secure the connector up and out of the water was shown. Unfortunately, that method became challenging to find stainless steel clips that wouldn't rust so we found a plastic clip and also made our own. Each clip is unique so we include both versions. DO NOT SUBMERGE BLACK CONNECTOR. CLIP TO THE FILTER COMPARTMENT LIP AND TIGHTEN ALL SCREW IN PORTIONS OF THE CONNECTOR UNTIL THEY WON'T SCREW IN ANY LONGER.
Everything the original Scepter offers including filter compartment wall seal and filter retainer plug. The difference from the original Scepter is the reusable quick connect assembly that once installed allows you to quickly change cells. Less hassle, especially for tubs recessed into a deck. Once installed, 5 minutes is all you need to change your cell! The Scepter Quick Connect Cell is modified to work with the Quick Connect Assembly uses less material which saves you money and produces less waste.

THE SCEPTER is designed to be placed OUTSIDE the filter for optimum performance and life. A plug for the filter cap is included.
Experience shows us that as the Ace cell wears, it often indicates a low salt level. When the cell is replaced, the control panel will often say to call for service UNTIL SALT IS DISSOLVED AND IN THE 1,500-2,000 PPM RANGE.
It is recommended that hardness is kept at minimum 250 to protect metal parts. Physical damage to cell or excessive calcium buildup is not covered under warranty. All salt cells need occasional cleaning by soaking in white vinegar or mild acid solution when scale buildup is noticeable.
Using phosphate remover can help extend cell life.
